Exeter CC provides a comprehensive junior offering across boys and girls cricket. It begins with All Stars for 5-8 year olds and moves all the way up to Under 19s teams, with the section led by experienced ECB qualified coaches. We aim to develop players of all ages and abilities in a fun, inclusive and safe environment and foster a lifelong love of the game. We would love for you to come and join and support us.
We have specific spaces for players in the following age groups for the 2026 season:
Boys hardball: U19, U17, U15, U14, U13, U11 and U10 (Training on Friday evenings throughout the summer)
Boys Softball (8-10 year olds) – training on Friday evenings throughout the summer. NB – very limited spaces available.
Girls hardball: U19, U17, U15 and U13 (Training on Thursday evenings throughout the summer)
Girls softball: U13 and U11 (Training on Thursday evenings throughout the summer)
All Stars. We also expect to have some limited capacity for new members of our All Stars community (ages 5-8) this season. Priority is being given to people who played last year, families who are existing members of the club and those who are willing to volunteer in support of the junior section of the club (eg coaching support, helping serve food in the kitchen on a Friday night). If you are interested, please email juniors@exetercricketclub.com
2026 Season Launch. A launch night for the season is being held in the club pavilion on Prince of Wales Road on Friday 17 April (start time 18:15, with a presentation at 18:45). This is a great opportunity to come along, meet the coaching team, hear about plans for the 2026 season and register junior players. The bar will be open and food will be served. If you cannot make the launch night but are still interested in further information, please email juniors@exetercricketclub.com or come along on one of our junior training nights (every Thur and Fri evening from 24 Apr onwards) and meet the team.
We have big plans for 2026. This year marks a significant step forward as we build on past successes to develop the junior section. We are committed to a 'One Club' philosophy, where juniors, seniors, and parents operate as a single, mutually supporting community.
Revamped Training. Our training nights are being enhanced to focus more on structured development. Both Thursday (Girls) and Friday (Boys) sessions will provide high-standard coaching in a fun, fast-paced environment. We are also strengthening the role of our senior players as mentors and coaching support, giving our juniors aspirational role models right here at the club.
Inclusion for Everyone. At our heart is a culture of inclusion. As an opportunity-first club, we ensure every child, regardless of experience or ability, has fair chances to bat, bowl, or keep wicket across the season. We measure success not by trophies, but by player retention and those who eventually move into senior cricket through our supportive transition approach.
Our Volunteer Heartbeat. Achieving this depends on our volunteer heartbeat. We invite parents and members to get involved in any capacity, from managing and coaching to scoring or umpiring or helping with the social vibe or in the kitchen. By working together, we ensure a bright future for the next generation of Exeter cricketers. Please get in touch if you fancy being part of the vibrant and fantastic team that runs the junior section. No skills required and no contribution of time or expertise is too small.
